Santo Domingo Airport and Transportation Information
There are several airports in the Dominican Republic that service international flights. The largest and busiest is Punta Cana International airport ( PUJ ). There are many large car rental chains in most of the airports. Taxis can be hired to take you to your hotel. Some hotels also offer shuttle service if near the airport.
Some of the more popular destinations require up to two hours travel. Renting a car may be a good option but be advised to stay on the major roads. There is a good bus service available for tourists. There are regularly scheduled busses with posted rates to take visitors between towns.
The Dominian Republic also has a few smaller regional airports. Find other
